In Short
Every one of us asks the same question at the beginning. The answer is simple “start small and test before scale.”
1. Overall Spending Aim
For a starter without any data from other projects, we suggest going small with 10% of the predicted sales.
Then, increase as the project develops. The range that I hear the most is between 10%-30%.
2. Allocate Testing Budget
Inside this 10% of the overall sales Ads budget, you should begin spending 20% of it on testing!
This is overlooked by many new starters, the improvement circle will not happen unless you make it happen.
Believe it or not: not all of your assets will generate positive ROI.
3. Scale on Best Performer
After you know from testing which ad of your assets is performing best. Given that, there is one creative and copy that yields positive ROI. You will now begin to scale with the 80% from ad budget.
Conclusion
When you are in doubt, start small. But start, otherwise, you will miss an opportunity to invest in gaining customer insights that come with your ads performance.
